This Sunday, drag your tired, Fifth of July selves over to Spike'd Sundays at Capitol Skyline Pool (10 I St. S.W.) for the first annual "Whatever Floats Your Boat" competition. Spike Mendelsohn, chef of Good Stuff Eatery and "Top Chef" alum, will be hosting -- and what's a competition without a celebrity judge, right?

The event is "calling all those who believe life doesn't get better than a burger, a beer and pool deck of bikinis. Beach balls, rubber duckies, bad language and BBQ throwdowns welcomed and encouraged."

From noon to 6 p.m., DJ Butter will be spinning tunes while burgers and other barbecue fare simmer on the grill.

Bring your most creative inflatable object to be judge by special guests, plus Spike himself at 4 p.m (relax, they won't keep your precious inflatable). The winning inflatable gets -- drum roll please -- a dinner for six at Good Stuff Eatery.

Your $10 entry get you a burger, the chance to meet a local celeb AND possibly win a free dinner. What better way to unwind after a night of Independence Day festivities than free stuff and a day by the pool?
