Ohhh, the joys of Monday mornings! Mustering up that chipper little "Good morning!" to the boss today already drained any and all energy we had to begin with. And we are left with zero coffee funds thanks to Saturday night's "drinks on me" bar tab. We're running on reserve here, people.
Well, apparently someone upstairs is lookin' out for us because we're about to receive some much-needed help from the Golden Arches.
Starting today, July 13, McDonald's is offering free McCafé Mocha samples every Monday for the next four weeks (ending August 3). Walk in or drive up between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. for a free 7-ounce iced mocha or an 8-ounce hot mocha.
Hmm, what's more important: one more ounce of caffeinated bliss or a chilled drink on what is sure to be a hot and muggy day? Well, there doesn’t seem to be a limit on free samples, so I guess we'll take both.
This sampling initiative, which hopes to encourage the energy-deprived to select McCafé coffee for their morning pick-me-up, is one of the largest in the fast-food giant's history, as they expect to give away nearly 10 million samples over the next month.
McCafé coffees, introduced in 2007, are one of the newer additions to the vast McDonald's menu. Every McCafé drink is made from hand-harvested Arabica coffee beans, rich chocolate syrup and real milk. Makes you wonder, what is fake milk? Nevermind, it's better that we don’t know.
