Peak Dates for Cherry Blossom Bloom Released

Mark your calendars and get your cameras ready, because the peak bloom dates for the 2009 National Cherry Blossom Festival have been announced.

According to our friends at We Love DC, the peak dates will be April 3 through April 9.

The festival itself runs from March 28 through April 12.

This year's Festival marks the 97th celebration of the gift of 3,000 cherry trees by the city of Tokyo to the people of D.C. back in 1912.
